Service Specialist
The basic function of the Service Specialist of Cuff Farm Services is to ensure that the service department completes the service schedule with respect to quantity and quality services (keeping the customer running) for irrigation and manure application – screw press augers, valves, pumps, and separators, engine driven pumps, tool bars, reels, splash pans, and frac tanks.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a small entrepreneurial company or a division of a large company as a technician within the ag-dairy-manure-irrigation industry
- Submit requisitions for parts in a timely fashion to the CFS parts manager to ensure a smooth flow of production
- Participates in status meetings with other service & shop technicians
- Responsible for the maintenance of the equipment, and ensures that excellent housekeeping habits are maintained throughout the year for service department
- Follows established CFS operating policies and procedures
Welder
The person occupying the position of Welder & Fabricator shall be a Lead Resource and Trainer for a new Welder & Fabricator Specialist. He/she must also “ensure” that all materials, shop supplies & welding supplies are on hand to do work related per worksheet-blue order sheet instructions.
- Must be able to competently repair all farm implement items right the first time and in a timely manner
- Closes out worksheets and calculates billable hours on the one-page sheet
- Assists with physical inventory in the shop (painting & welding supplies), as required by supervisor – shop foreman
- Can operate all equipment safely and according to CFS policy and procedure
- Regularly contributes ideas to improve the production process and mentors new
- Welder & Fabricators and driver-helpers, as added.
